Biography
Gavin Stephens serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Goelzer Investment Management, overseeing the firm’s investment philosophy, portfolio management strategies, and research. Gavin joined Goelzer in 2014, joined the Leadership Team in 2022, and became CIO in January 2024.
Gavin is a volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and serves as president of the Legacy Fund Trustees at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Prior to joining Goelzer, Gavin was the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Westminster John Knox Press (WJK), an academic publishing firm. He was also a member of the executive staff at WJK, creating and implementing corporate budgets and strategic plans for the firm.
Gavin received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Louisville. He holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Hanover College. Gavin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a dedicated player of the electric bass.
