Greg Thompson is a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Goelzer Investment Management and serves on the Investment Policy Committee. He joined the firm in 2025.

With over 30 years of experience in portfolio management, trading, and client advisory roles, Greg offers deep market insight and a disciplined, research-driven approach to supporting client portfolios.

Before joining Goelzer, Greg was Portfolio Manager and Head Trader at Spectrum Wealth Management, where he led the firm’s trading operations and oversaw portfolio execution and rebalancing. Earlier in his career, he served as Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor at RBC Wealth Management. Greg also held financial advisory roles at First Allied Securities, RFT Investment Advisors, and Solomon Smith Barney (Citigroup).

Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and has held the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation since 2014, a globally recognized credential issued by the Market Technicians Association (MTA). He previously possessed the Series 3, 7, 9, 10, 24, and 66 licenses.
